Clifton council approves minutes, treasurer's report and two use permits

The Clifton Town Council on Dec. 5 approved routine minutes and financial documentation and granted two use permits recommended by the Planning Commission.
Councilmember Darrell Poe moved to approve the November 2017 minutes as presented; Vice Mayor Jennifer Heilmann seconded and the motion passed by poll vote, 5-0. The meeting then took up the Treasurer's report. Town Treasurer Marilyn Barton presented financial statements for the period ending Nov. 30, 2017, and Councilmember Poe moved to approve the Treasurer's report; Councilmember Melissa Milne seconded and the motion passed, 5-0.
On the Planning Commission's recommendations, Councilmember Poe moved to approve a Use Permit for Horse Hippie with the conditions outlined in the Planning Commission report; Councilmember Milne seconded and the motion carried by poll vote, 5-0. Poe then moved to approve a Use Permit for Karen Paris, again with conditions as set forth in the report; Vice Mayor Heilmann seconded and the motion passed, 5-0.
The Council recorded these actions without further amendments. The meeting concluded after other agenda items and a motion to adjourn carried 5-0.
The council did not take up any ordinance adoptions or contested appeals during this session; the approvals recorded were procedural and followed Planning Commission findings.
