The department confirmed participation from the Daland Memorial Library, local teachers, MVFD and MVCC; organizers noted pending confirmations from G&B and that 316 Church has offered space if needed. The minutes list six “Golden Egg” baskets for prizes.
Event activities will include indoor crafts and games — catapults, ring toss, egg-and-spoon races, caterpillar eggs, coloring, bunny masks and bug-jar crafts — plus outdoor activities such as bubbles and chalk. A selfie station will be available in lieu of formal photographs. Organizer notes show Jill Webber donating marigold seeds and DW Brooks offering to run an egg toss.
Site logistics call for initial staging on the basketball court at 10:45 a.m., followed by a transition to the field for the hunt itself. For safety, Officer O’Keefe and MVPD will keep children off the field until the official start and MVPD will lead the countdown to begin the hunt.
Organizers listed set-up responsibilities and asked volunteers to report on April 3 at 5 p.m.; there was no formal public comment or motion recorded. The recreation department will proceed with the published schedule and follow up with pending performers and partners as confirmations arrive.
