The Planning Commission on April 23 heard staff’s presentation on a proposed three‑lot replat for Asher Meadows (case RPDash02Dash2026) and voted to recommend it to the Board of Aldermen.
Staff explained the applicant’s earlier submission and noted a title issue involving a garage encroaching on a neighboring parcel. The current proposal reconfigures the parcel into three lots to resolve the encroachment. Staff provided the application, survey and location map and confirmed the matter will be placed on the Board of Aldermen agenda. (Staff member)
Commissioners asked for clarifications about minimum lot widths and how the garage location would be accommodated. Staff confirmed the replat meets the city’s minimum lot width (70 feet in most cases; some grandfathered 50‑foot lots exist) and that the redesign shifts lot lines so the garage no longer encroaches on an adjacent property. After a brief exchange, a commissioner moved to accept the changes, the motion was seconded and the commission approved the recommendation; one commissioner recorded a no vote during the roll call.
Next steps: The replat (RPDash02Dash2026) will be forwarded with the commission’s recommendation to the Board of Aldermen for final approval. (Staff member)
