Commissioner Maryellen Howley said the City Commission must review its responsibilities for maintaining and repaving city streets and will request a contact at the Kentucky League of Cities to review Brownsboro Village streets and provide an opinion. Howley told commissioners she had received road‑paving guidelines from Don Miller and that the commission is responsible for keeping streets paved.
Howley also said the Garden Club should be classified as a social gathering and that she will look into restructuring the club and whether it requires city funding. She raised the need to review Americans with Disabilities Act standards and requirements for public meetings as part of that work.
The item was presented as part of routine roads and streets discussion; no motion or vote was recorded in the minutes on funding or a formal change in Garden Club status. The commission recorded that Howley will pursue the League of Cities contact and report back to the commission.
