Coffee County adopts 250th-anniversary proclamation and honors long-serving clerk Teresa McFadden

Following the proclamation, Sheriff Parton delivered a public tribute to county clerk Teresa McFadden, recounting her 50 years of service in county government — 18 years as a deputy clerk and 32 years as elected county clerk. "Teresa, we love you today, tomorrow, yesterday, and forever," the sheriff said, praising her dedication and longevity in public service.
Commissioners reported recent ribbon-cutting ceremonies for three newly completed county facilities: the Coffee County Health Department, a Tennessee College of Applied Technology facility, and the Coffee County Animal Control facility. Mayor Dennis A. Hunt also noted that the City of Tullahoma has submitted letters regarding annexation of property near the new health department; he described annexation as a pathway available to property owners within urban growth boundaries.
The meeting included committee updates (Budget & Finance, Capital Outlay, Health, Law Enforcement, Legislative, Policies & Procedures) and a brief recognition of three commissioners who chose not to run for re-election — Tina Reed, Dwight Miller and Jimmy Hollingsworth — who were invited forward for photographs. The legislative body adjourned following a motion by Commissioner Hirschman.
