Council hears report of vandalism at park, plans restroom closure and new camera; bleacher options under review

Bob France said vandals kicked a hole in the men’s restroom wall. He and Council member Mike Kendall said they have posted new restroom hours and plan to close the bathrooms for winter on Nov. 1. Staff also plan to install an additional camera aimed at the entrance doors to deter future vandalism.
Council member Gail Smith asked about materials for suggested new bleachers; Council member Tim Wartman said the city is obtaining price estimates for wood and aluminum options. No formal motion or funding decision for bleachers was recorded at the meeting.
