Bromley council adopts new Z21 zoning ordinance in unanimous vote

Council members described the measure as a comprehensive rewrite. The council record shows the change was framed as a wholesale update to future ordinances rather than a piecemeal amendment to existing provisions.
The ordinance was recorded on second reading as approved; the council did not attach further amendments on the floor. City staff will publish the ordinance language and next steps for implementation as required by municipal procedure. The council also scheduled related fiscal and procedural business for a special meeting on Aug. 28 to ensure compliance with forthcoming deadlines and readings.
