Assistant Purchase Clerk Onie Hopkins was authorized to advertise for semi-annual bids after a motion by Supervisor Jeff Smith and a second from Supervisor Brooks, with a unanimous vote.
Representative George Crawford of the Golden Triangle Planning & Development District requested approval to publish combined notices for an environmental assessment on June 4, 2026; Supervisor Smith moved to authorize the advertising, Supervisor Matt Furnari seconded, and the board voted 5-0 to approve.
County Administrator Jay Fisher announced the hire of Kimberly Harrison as a Justice Court Deputy Clerk at $14.50 per hour, effective June 22, 2026. Supervisor Leroy Brooks moved to spread the hire on the minutes, Supervisor Andy Williamson seconded, and the board approved the hire unanimously. The board also authorized holding a Veteran’s Day ceremony at the courthouse on Nov. 7, 2026; that motion was moved by Brooks, seconded by Jeff Smith, and approved 5-0.
