City engineer Jared explained that the plans required for regionalizing wastewater services were submitted and that resolution 2026-015 would authorize the city to proceed with the application to the Clean Water Revolving Fund. He emphasized that final loan documents will return to council for approval at a later date and offered to answer questions.
A councilmember moved to approve the resolution to apply for funding for the regionalization project (to the Annandale-Howard-Lake-Maple Lake Wastewater Commission). The motion passed unanimously, 5–0.
The action advances the city’s role in a regional wastewater project; staff said loan documents and final financing terms will be provided to council before any binding commitment is made.
Provenance: council discussion and motion appear in the meeting packet and the council vote at the April 13 meeting.
