City Attorney Bobby Richardson told the Cave City Council on April 13 that Kevin Myatt of Barren County Planning and Zoning had requested that Ordinance 26-12-3b — which would amend the city's zoning regulations — be tabled because a revised version is forthcoming and Myatt could not attend the meeting.
Beverly Ford moved to table the ordinance and Andrew Bagshaw seconded the motion. The council approved the tabling motion, 5-0. Richardson said Barren County Planning and Zoning’s Kevin Myatt will provide further information on the proposed zoning-text changes at the next council meeting.
Matt Pedigo, community development specialist with the Barren River Area Development District, told the council the city's generator grant is “on hold in Frankfort” and that FEMA grants are also on hold. Pedigo recommended contacting Representative Guthrie and Senator McConnell for assistance and noted there remain details to be worked out for a Boys and Girls Club project; the transcript does not specify what the outstanding details are.
The tabling of the ordinance delays the council's consideration of any text changes to the zoning code until the revised draft is presented. The council also approved routine minutes and received financial reports during the meeting. The session adjourned after the mayor's reports.
