Calvert City meeting drops routine video-teleconference notice, will continue YouTube broadcasts

The Calvert City parks meeting voted to stop including a routine video-teleconference notice on its standard meeting agenda, though staff said meetings will continue to be broadcast on YouTube and teleconference access can still be provided on request.

The proposal to remove the routine teleconference notice was introduced by the parks staff member, who said the change would prevent meetings from being disrupted when the video link fails and that remote participation can be handled by adding teleconference language to agendas when a member needs it. "We will continue to broadcast it on YouTube just like we do now," the parks staff member said, adding that the teleconference option will remain available for members who are out of town.

Chair (S1) called for a vote after the motion was moved and seconded; the membership voted in favor. Staff clarified the change is procedural only and does not stop the city from setting up a teleconference if a member requests remote participation in advance.

The decision takes effect for future regular meetings; staff said they will continue to advertise remote-access options when specifically needed and will post meeting broadcasts to YouTube as before.
