The Transportation Ad Hoc Committee approved staff recommendations to transfer portions of North Main Street (US 21) for road-widening improvements to the South Carolina Department of Transportation.
Director Maloney presented Phase 3, asking the committee to approve the right-of-way transfer of roughly 0.31 acres and the associated grant of deed for road widening improvements. Maloney then presented Phase 4 and recommended a transfer of roughly 0.05 acres. Maloney said the TMS parcel numbers and other detailed identifiers are included in the agenda packet.
A staff attorney or staff member noted that the detailed parcel numbers had already been published in the agenda briefing document and recommended the committee reference that published packet rather than read the long list aloud. "You can just reference the agenda briefing document with all the TMS numbers that are in there," the staff member said.
The committee moved and unanimously approved both transfers by roll-call vote; each called member recorded "Yes."
