Fulton County commissioners approve routine measures, award roof contract and authorize CDBG applications

The Fulton County Board of Commissioners met May 12 in Wauseon and approved a package of routine resolutions, including adopting minutes from May 7, approving the meeting agenda and authorizing payment of bills. Commissioners R.J. Lumbrezer and Jeff Rupp voted 2-0 on those measures.
The board approved Resolution 2026-307 to increase and transfer appropriations across multiple departments, listing specific line-item transfers in the resolution text. Commissioners also approved Resolution 2026-308, authorizing Fulton County to file applications for Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) PY2026 Critical Infrastructure funds and allowing requests up to $500,000 per project; the resolution designates the board president as the county's official representative for applications.
Under Resolution 2026-310 the county entered Contract 2026-49 with Damschroder Roofing for the Robert Fulton Building roof project in the amount of $137,172.00. The board approved Resolution 2026-311 permitting signature of a Purchase Order computer edit list and approving submitted travel requests. Commissioners also approved Resolution 2026-309 to cancel the regular session scheduled for June 11, 2026, to permit attendance at a regional association meeting. All recorded motions in open session passed by a 2-0 vote.
