WAC members praise Make Music Day and plan push for microgrants

"They are in full support for them," the chair said of the MCC response. The chair said she will raise the issue with Fabian and the cultural development office and advocate for microgrants; implementation may be delayed by bureaucracy and could be a 2027 initiative.
Members agreed to collect performer feedback and assemble a postmortem of Make Music Day to inform future events. The council did not make a formal policy change at this meeting but assigned staff follow-up to pursue MCC support and to brief cultural development staff on the microgrant proposal.
