Bromley council introduces new city attorney and approves routine business

Mayor Denham introduced newly hired City Attorney Matt Woods. Council heard routine department reports, accepted committee reports, approved minutes and bills unanimously, and adjourned at 6:23 p.m.
Mayor Denham presided over the March 12 council meeting and introduced Matt Woods as the new City Attorney. Woods said he is obtaining and reviewing city files from the prior attorney’s office to come up to speed on outstanding matters.
Councilor Mike Kendall reported that Ways and Means found the city’s financial reports to be on target. On motions, Tim Wartman moved to approve the minutes (seconded by Dianne Wartman); Mike Kendall moved to accept committee reports (seconded by Andrew Clift); Kelly Dudley moved to approve payment of bills (seconded by Dianne Wartman). All motions passed by unanimous voice vote. Tim Wartman later moved to adjourn; that motion passed and the meeting ended at 6:23 p.m.
Absent from the meeting were Councilor Dave Radford and City Clerk Brittany Hinzman, both noted in roll call. No new business or communications were raised during the session.
Council members and staff will reconvene at the next regular meeting, where follow-ups (including the 305 Main Street ownership check) are expected to appear on the agenda.
