Bromley parks committee schedules pickleball court blacktop, eyes replacement of memorial dogwood

Dianne Wartman said wooden benches have been installed in the park and the city is awaiting a blacktop contractor to begin work on a proposed pickleball court; she will research signage for rules of play and return with recommendations at the next meeting. Mayor Denham asked staff to check the condition of the dogwood tree at the memorial; Wartman said it does not look good and may need to be replaced.
Wartman also told council that she is obtaining estimates for downstairs hall improvements discussed at a prior meeting and is seeking gutter-cleaning bids. No funding sources or timelines were specified during the update.
Council expects Wartman to present cost estimates and vendor recommendations at a future meeting so the council can decide on next steps and any budgetary allocations.
