Board members and the chief discussed possible policy options, including pulling ordinances from nearby towns (the chief said he would look at Freedom and Madison) and considering a limited time‑window approach tied to major holidays. The chief urged residents to call dispatch immediately when incidents occur so officers can respond quickly and collect statements.
No ordinance vote was taken. Board members asked staff and the chief to compile sample ordinances and options for discussion at a future meeting.
