The Village of Kimberly Board voted unanimously March 3, 2025, to approve the Plan Commission's recommendation for the site plan and architectural components for Goly & Eve Puerto Rican Restaurant LLC at 114 S. John Street, subject to multiple conditions.
Trustee Norb Karner moved and Trustee Lee Hammen seconded approval of the site plan contingent on: removal of outdoor storage on the north side of the building before occupancy; primary off-site storage of the food truck with on-site use limited to cleaning, short-term maintenance, loading and unloading; replacement of the roll/mountable curb between the two driveway aprons with a standard six-inch curb within one year at the applicant's expense (staff to work with the applicant on final treatment); addition of landscaping between the north side of the building and W. Kimberly Ave including at least one tree and low shrubbery; and limiting hours so the establishment closes no later than 2:00 a.m.
The motion carried by unanimous vote. The conditions are recorded as prerequisites for occupancy and will require follow-up by staff on compliance and curb replacement within the one-year timeframe.
