Resident says neighbors were not notified of zoning meeting; board asks for names

During public comment on July 13, Harold Avenue resident William Blanc told the Monroe Township Zoning Board that some nearby households did not receive notice of the meeting. “The 2 houses that live directly across the street from the lot on Harold Avenue were not given any notice at all,” Blanc said, urging the board to fix the notification process.
Staff asked Blanc to write down the names and addresses privately before he left so the office could follow up; staff said the residents do not need to make their information public in the hearing. “Just on a piece of paper, write down the names and addresses for us before you leave,” staff said, adding that staff will follow up outside the meeting.
The board did not take formal action during the meeting on notice procedures; staff collected the information to investigate whether notices were distributed correctly for the affected properties.
