Casselberry commission proclaims code compliance month, honors Rotary Club; approves consent agenda and updates meeting schedule

The Casselberry City Commission opened its Oct. 27 meeting with proclamations and routine business, approving minutes and the consent agenda and sharing several calendar items.
Mayor David Henson read a proclamation recognizing October as national code compliance month and a second proclamation honoring the Rotary Club of Seminole County Central's 50th anniversary, noting the club was chartered as the Rotary Club of Casselberry in 1975 and rebranded in 2024.
A motion to approve the Oct. 13 minutes was made, seconded and passed unanimously. Later the commission approved the consent agenda without discussion.
City Clerk Donna announced the commission will meet once in November and once in December (the next meeting is Nov. 17 at 5:30 p.m.; a CRA meeting, if needed, will be at 4:30 p.m. that day). Donna also announced City Hall will be closed Nov. 11 for Veterans Day and promoted a food-truck event at Lake Concord Park on Nov. 14 from 6 to 9 p.m.
Commissioners used their reports to summarize recent community events, including fundraisers and ribbon-cuttings, and to congratulate the Rotary Club on its anniversary. The meeting adjourned after brief acknowledgments.
