The Lake County Board of Commissioners approved a slate of routine resolutions on Feb. 26, authorizing requests for qualifications for landfill gas and landfill solar projects, certifying unpaid water and sewer sums to the county auditor, and approving payments and purchase orders totaling about $3.0 million.
At the start of the consent‑style package the board moved and approved a resolution authorizing advertising for a request for qualifications for a Lake County solid waste landfill gas utilization project for the Department of Utilities and a separate RFQ for a landfill solar installation. The clerk called roll and the three commissioners recorded aye votes for each measure.
Finance items that passed included a resolution approving payment of bills listed on the commissioners’ approval journal in the amount of $1,924,393.83 and a resolution approving purchase orders totaling $1,120,451.28. The board also approved a resolution to delete certain water and sewer sums certified to the auditor, and a separate resolution certifying unpaid water and sewer sums and administrative charges to the Lake County Auditor. Resolutions to increase an appropriation in a non‑general fund and to transfer an appropriation within a general fund account were also approved.
