Subcommittee amends motion requesting state representative briefing, substitutes city staff instead

The subcommittee considered a calendar motion to request state representatives Jeff Turco and Jessica Giannino appear before the city council to present an overview of state agency responsibilities within Revere. Councilor Mercurio presented the motion.
Councilor Jim McCarrie moved to amend the motion to strike the named state representatives and instead ask city representatives Nick Rystrom and Tom Sharalski (and possibly Chris Chiamello) to appear as local representatives. McCarrie said he wanted the city to be represented for that overview.
The clerk called the vote on the motion as amended; the chair announced the motion was ordered (passed) with no recorded dissent.
Next steps: City staff representatives will be asked to appear to provide the requested overview of state-agency responsibilities affecting Revere.
