The North Royalton Storm Water Committee approved its March 3, 2026, minutes and reviewed updates on a Clearbrook sinkhole, Turnpike mitigation timing and multiple Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District projects at a meeting on April 7, 2026, at North Royalton City Hall.
Wastewater Superintendent Ed Haller said crews performed a dye test on a sinkhole at Clearbrook and "determined that there was inflow and infiltration into the manhole." He told the committee the city plans to seal the manhole and replace the adjacent sidewalk.
City Engineer Matt Glass reported there was no substantive new change on the Turnpike mitigation work and said, "They are still scheduled for a start in July, and it will go through September." Glass also updated the committee on NEORSD projects: the Cedar Estates basin project will occupy most of the season and likely wrap up by the end of the year; the Applewood project is awaiting a 90% plan submittal from the Sewer District; and the Wildwood vacation is moving forward while the city awaits a cost estimate from the electric company to relocate infrastructure, with the city likely to grant an easement to remain.
Chair Sarah Wojslaw moved to approve the March 3 minutes; the motion was seconded by Matt Coleman and carried on a 3-0 vote. Wojslaw later moved to adjourn the meeting at 6:26 p.m.; Coleman seconded, and the adjournment motion also passed 3-0.
No new business was recorded during the session. The committee did not announce dates, funding sources, or specific contractors for the sinkhole repair or the NEORSD-related relocations; those details were listed as pending in the updates presented to the committee.
