Selectman Timothy Derouche moved and the board voted 3-0 to hire R&A Tractor to perform summer sweeping for $2,300; the contract includes sweeping and removal at the boat launch at no additional charge. The board also accepted R&A Tractor’s bridge repair quote (motion by Derouche; second by Matthew Patneaude; vote 3-0).
On unfinished business the Selectmen voted 3-0 to hire Pine Tree Engineering to prepare an option for a potential land purchase at a contracted cost of $18,000. The board recorded that Army Corps approval has been received for the 'Theriault' stream work and that the town is still awaiting grant funding for that project.
The board signed Warrant #12 for $152,063.32 after a motion by Selectman Timothy Derouche and a second by Selectman Matthew Patneaude; the motion passed 3-0. Selectman Timothy Derouche later moved to initial the State of Maine sales analysis; Selectman Ray Hodsdon seconded and the vote was recorded as 2-0. Selectmen also reviewed tax lien notices (due July 3 but accepted July 8 because the office is closed on July 3) and noted that Main Street paving is complete.
Other operational items included Fire Department reports that unannounced wind-tower deliveries had blocked traffic—once delaying an ambulance—and a reminder that companies must notify Eric Giroux and the town office ahead of large deliveries. The board discussed pursuing additional speed bump pricing and ongoing roadside cleanup.
