Director (S1) described recent inspections of attic and library leaks and said crews will try to schedule the work so it occurs before school starts mid‑August.
Board members discussed scope and financing before moving and approving the project by voice vote. Chair (S2) confirmed the committee will provide a report at the next meeting on the levy and intercap accounting that will be used to fund the work.
During the same meeting the board handled several items related to obsolete property. The board accepted a single sealed bid of $100 for an out‑of‑service 20‑ton shop press and approved the process to list an older leg‑press/sled for disposal. Clerk (S6) noted federal funding rules may apply to equipment purchased with grant dollars and warned about liability concerns when selling used equipment; board members ultimately voted to scrap/dispose of the leg press because of those concerns.
The board also approved a motion to sell the district’s FCC license; Clerk (S6) said T‑Mobile had responded to the district’s obsolete property posting and requested a motion to approve the sale, which passed by voice vote.
The board did not provide dates for contract start and completion beyond a goal to complete work before the start of school; committee members said the contractor will try to push the district “in line” to get materials ordered. The board directed staff to bring cost and funding details for the intercap and levy accounting at the next meeting.
