City accepts $1 million increase from Golden LEAF for Medical District stormwater project

By motion of Councilmember Antwan Horton, seconded by Councilmember Anthony Tyre, Council accepted the additional funding, authorized the Mayor to execute the Revised Grantee Acknowledgment and Agreement, and approved the Grant Project Ordinance Amendment. The vote was recorded as unanimous among members present.
Background materials included that Golden LEAF originally awarded $3,030,000 for the project in August 2020 and approved the supplemental amount at an April 2026 board meeting. The supplemental funding will be applied to the Medical District Stormwater Project as described in grant documentation and the approved project ordinance amendment.
Next steps: City staff will execute the required grant documents and implement the project per the revised grant agreement and ordinance.
