Rio Rancho board extends Superintendent Dodd’s contract through 2029

Superintendent Dodd thanked the board and community, saying the district has “ambitious” goals and that the board’s vote gives the leadership “the latitude and the runway to sequence the work” to achieve them. “Finally, I’m deeply honored to continue leading RRPS and this community into its next chapter,” Dodd said.
According to the chair’s report, the extension adds one year to the current contract term; the board did not present alternate contract terms or amendments at the open meeting. No further conditions or financial details were stated on the record.
The board did not announce additional public hearings or a separate ratification step; the extension was approved during this meeting and no subsequent vote was scheduled at the time the meeting adjourned.
