Public works staff reports chip sealing, sand deliveries and new well progress

Trent, a public-works staff member, gave the committee a brief operations update after the rate discussion.
"Sand and gravel will be here towards the end of this week," he said, and outlined chip-sealing work planned for 2025 street maintenance on Maverick, Buckskin, Vigilante Drive, Berg Street from Prairie to Higgins, Clark Street, Dixon Street, Muhlenberg Street and portions of 2nd Street. He said the chip seal work is intended to extend the life of recently laid asphalt and to prevent further moisture intrusion in rough areas.
Trent also reported that subdivisions have paving and gutter work completed and that about half of the sidewalks are installed. He said roughly 400 feet remain on the new well project. The updates were provided as informational items; no formal action was taken on capital work at this meeting.
