Collbran trustees approve dark-fiber lease, update banking signers and pre-approve Parade of Lights

Trustee Winkleblack moved to approve the dark-fiber lease with changes as presented: a $50 monthly access fee and a two-year term. The motion was seconded by Mayor Pro Tem Price and passed unanimously. Mayor Lietz moved to approve Resolution 2025-26 to update the authorized signers on the town's bank accounts to Mayor Lietz, Mayor Pro Tem Price, Trustee Bethel and Clerk Boyd; all previous signers were to be removed. The measure passed unanimously.
The board also pre-approved use of the auditorium and parade operations for the Lions Club Parade of Lights on Dec. 13. During the future-actions portion of the meeting Mayor Lietz said she had interviewed 12 candidates for open town positions and trustees agreed to form a committee to handle most interviews before final board interviews; Trustee Bethel raised that employees should receive bonuses.
