Planning Board authorizes Roger Murray to represent it at ZBA appeal; schedules joint workshop earlier

The Wolfeboro Planning Board voted July 7 to authorize Vice Chair Roger Murray to represent the board at an administrative appeal before the Zoning Board of Adjustment concerning Taylor Homes, and agreed to shift its July 21 meeting to 6:00 PM for a joint workshop with the Historic Commission.
Roger Murray told the board that the ZBA denied a special exception for elderly housing requested by Taylor Homes on June 15 and that Taylor Homes had filed an administrative appeal. "I feel the Planning Board needs to be represented at that ZBA hearing and explain their position and how they came to it," Murray said. He volunteered to present the board's reasoning. Doug Breskin moved to approve Murray as the board's representative; Nancy Wiley seconded. Roll-call vote: Nancy Wiley-yes, Vaune Dugan-Abstain, Rhonda Martin-yes, Chair Steve Webster-yes, Roger Murray-yes, Doug Breskin-yes. Motion passes (5-0-1).
Separately, Jeffrey Hinderliter said he had received confirmation to video-record a joint Historic Commission and Planning Board workshop and announced the Planning Board will meet one hour earlier on July 21, 2026, at 6:00 PM and that he would notify the Historic Commission.
The board's authorization means a Planning Board member will present the board's prior findings at the ZBA hearing; no further action or expenditures were recorded at the July 7 meeting.
