Mayor Pro Tem Heather Schoning told the council March 12 that sewer problems at Town Hall require closure on Thursday for repairs and staff training.
Schoning announced Heather Good as the new assistant clerk and thanked departing employee Ben Britton for his service. She said anyone interested in the assistant maintenance position should submit an application to Town Clerk Kelsey Crabtree. The clerk and Public Works Director Steve Eller will attend water‑system training the week of April 14.
On the community center, Schoning proposed meeting March 26 at 2:00 p.m. to inspect the building and determine what can be salvaged; the council hopes to have a draft demolition plan ready for the April meeting. Separately, the council discussed a request from an airport hangar owner who wants to sell; Kelsey Crabtree and Kelly Jones will review whether past maintenance terms bind new owners and will report back by April 1 for discussion at the April 9 meeting.
The council tabled the VoIP item pending further research and then adjourned the meeting.
