The Town of Glendo council took several actions on building and property issues at the Oct. 9 meeting. Heather Schoning moved to table the Tipsword building permit because the applicant did not provide a required plot plan; the council agreed to delay consideration until the plan is submitted.
Council approved LeLand Hathaway’s building permit for 307 Ridge Street after a motion by Heather Schoning and second by Jeston Cundall; the motion carried unanimously.
On Old Business, the council discussed a vehicle that drove through the Old Hotel. Town Attorney Eric Jones said he attempted to contact the owner, identified as Ms. Jolson, and will send a letter asking whether she will remove the building due to vehicle damage; if the owner does not act, the town may pursue removal options as allowed by municipal process.
What’s next: The Tipsword permit remains tabled pending a plot plan submission; staff will document Hathaway’s approved permit and the attorney will follow up on the Old Hotel owner contact.
