Infrastructure and utility concerns were a central topic at the Oct. 9 Town of Glendo meeting. Council Member Jeston Cundall said he observed rough alleys that need to be mounded to avoid settling, noting Visionary has not completed a final walk-through.
Council Member Heather Schoning reported a special meeting with Visionary to address sewer lines affected by fiber-optic work. She said Badger provided a repair quote that was higher than a Router Rooter estimate and asked that staff try to negotiate a price under $20,000 with a four-day completion window.
Resident Norbert Schultz raised an ongoing water-pressure problem he has reported for four months and thanked Public Works Director Steve Eller for cutting his meter pit; Eller agreed to meet Schultz the following morning to investigate.
Town Attorney Eric Jones listed several operational items of note: moving a water meter on Lincoln, beginning towing of unauthorized vehicles on Monday, reaching out to Vistabeam about plans to remove a tower and continuing work on a variance regarding travel trailers on town property. No vote or formal ordinance followed these reports; council directed staff to pursue the identified follow-ups.
What’s next: Public Works Director Steve Eller will meet Norbert Schultz to investigate water pressure; staff will pursue negotiation on sewer repairs and proceed with towing as indicated by the attorney.
