Glendo officials report water, utilities and telecom issues; plan follow‑ups

Schoning reported that Visionary has cut sewer lines, water lines and CenturyLink lines, creating additional work for Public Works staff. She said she has contacted Badger (maintenance contact) but has not yet received a response and asked staff and Treasurer Kelsey Crabtree to pursue state water‑grant correspondence. Schoning also said the town should explore 'mineral money' as a potential funding source for water work, noting any such program would require matching funds.
Schoning proposed forming a volunteer committee to develop a wish list and planning for a community center and asked what funds may be available from donations to Cottonwood Hall. She flagged a deadline — referred to as F‑66 — that is due at the end of September and said a Vistabeam letter indicates one of its towers is being removed; she asked Town Attorney Eric Jones to investigate the Vistabeam lease.
Public Works Director Steve Eller said he is 'very busy' and will prioritize outstanding tasks, and he told resident Norbert Schultz he would move Schultz's low‑pressure meter issue up the list and follow up this week. Kelly Jones reported on the recent fly‑in that drew about 300 people and 20–25 planes and said organizers should begin applying for grants earlier next year and incorporate more local businesses.
Michelle Wright asked about burn pile hours; Mayor Susan Juschka replied the burn pile is open the first and third Saturdays and accepts wood and yard waste.
