Glendo council updates online bill-pay, changes bank signatories and opens tax-specific account

Mayor Susan Juschka and the Town of Glendo council unanimously approved several financial housekeeping measures during their Oct. 9 meeting. Assistant Clerk Kelsey Crabtree outlined an expansion of the town’s Black Mountain online bill-pay to include BMS pay; the council approved the change by motion.
The council also voted to remove existing signatures from the town’s BMO and Wells Fargo accounts and add Mayor Susan Juschka, Council Member Heather Schoning and Assistant Clerk Kelsey Crabtree as authorized signatories. Heather Schoning moved the change and Jeston Cundall seconded; the motion carried with all in favor.
Council members approved opening a First State Bank account designated for Specific Purpose Tax #4 and assigned the same three signatories. The motions were procedural and carried unanimously.
The actions are intended to centralize online payment services and update signatory authority for specific tax proceeds; council did not provide alternative signatory configurations or a timetable for the First State Bank account’s activation at the meeting.
What’s next: Staff will implement the approved online-pay expansion and the bank will be asked to establish the Specific Purpose Tax #4 account under the named signatories.
