The Town of Glendo council unanimously approved several routine items and amended claims at its Sept. 11, 2024 regular meeting.
Mayor Susan Juschka proposed adding two charges to the claims list: $2,069.50 payable to Doc Hill for food ordered for the town fly‑in and $2,939.80 for attorney fees. The mayor also noted that Council Member Kelly Jones’s company provided $500 worth of beef that will be returned as a donation. Council Member Heather Schoning moved to approve the claims with those amendments; Kelly Jones seconded, and the motion passed with the board saying, “All in favor. Motion is carried.”
Earlier in the meeting the council approved the agenda (moved by Kelly Jones; seconded by Jeston Cundall), the August 2024 regular meeting minutes (moved by Kelly Jones; seconded by Heather Schoning) and a partial treasurer’s report presented in Kelsey Crabtree’s absence (moved by Heather Schoning; seconded by Kelly Jones). Each of those procedural motions passed unanimously.
The approvals concluded routine financial oversight and allowed the town to process payments related to community events and legal services. No objections or roll-call vote tallies beyond the unanimous 'all in favor' statements were recorded in the transcript.
The meeting later moved into an executive session and returned to open session; council adjourned at the close of business.
