The Big Bear City Community Services District board voted to direct its president to sign an updated short-term use-of-facility agreement allowing the Big Bear Fire Authority continued access to the district's Paradise Yard and the area designated as the Paradise Training Center.
General Manager Glenn Jacklin told the board the original short-term agreement, authorized May 19, 2025, had expired. Staff requested a 12-month extension measured from the date the BBFA board approved the updated agreement at its Dec. 9, 2025 meeting. Jacklin said the BBFA requested minor corrections that did not materially change the substance of the agreement.
The Board voted unanimously to direct President Bob Rowe to sign the updated agreement. No public comment was offered on the item.
The extension preserves joint access to the Paradise Yard for Fire Authority personnel while the short-term arrangements remain in place; the board did not make changes to the underlying access terms beyond the corrected language requested by BBFA.
