Big Bear City CSD adopts resolution to buy automated front-load carry can for solid waste fleet

President John Russo presided over the Big Bear City Community Services District (CSD) Board meeting on Nov. 17, when the board voted unanimously to adopt Resolution 2025-23 authorizing the purchase of a front-load automated carry can for the Solid Waste fleet.

Finance Officer Jeanette Prickett introduced the item and explained the Solid Waste Department’s need for additional automation equipment. Solid Waste Superintendent Jon Zamorano told the board that a front-load automated carry can can attach to a truck’s front forks and serve as a backup to help keep the fleet operating in an automated configuration.
