Beulah trustees agree to cover $21,740 shortfall so pickleball court project can begin

Support the Courts had raised the majority of funds for the project but reported a $21,740 gap. Trustee Downs moved, and Trustee Smith seconded, a motion for the Village to pay the shortfall so Elmer’s could begin construction; the motion passed on a unanimous roll-call vote.
Under the approved arrangement, Support the Courts will continue to fundraise; any additional funds raised will be returned to the Village. The board also recorded that Elmer’s was issued a Notice of Award and the contract authorization was part of the same agenda item.
The approval was part of a batch of routine capital and maintenance actions considered at the meeting. Trustees did not attach specific project milestones or a construction start date in the meeting record. The decision closes the financing gap reported by the volunteer group and allows the contractor to proceed under the awarded contract.
