Mona City Council voted to continue Jewell County EMS service at its July 14 meeting after staff presented an acceptance letter for the arrangement.
Staff member (S3) said the city does not currently have the resources to provide its own ambulance/EMS coverage and recommended continuing the county contract. "Personally, I think it's a good idea," staff (S3) said, and the council moved and approved keeping the Jewell County EMS service in place.
The motion to continue EMS service passed by voice vote; the transcript records council members saying "aye" on the motion. Council did not discuss changes to the scope or cost of the service at this meeting and directed staff to provide the acceptance letter so it can be executed.
