City bus cuts will be smaller than planned; select stops to be tagged for removal Aug. 24

A committee member provided a follow-up on previously discussed city-bus route changes, saying the system will not undergo as many reductions as initially planned. "We are currently we won't have as many stops to be removed after the changes are made," the committee member said, adding that parts of the South Street route and the Park East route will be removed from service.
The member said staff are preparing to tag stops slated for removal on Aug. 24 and that those stops will be removed shortly thereafter. The member also said additional service reductions and changes are possible in May of next year.
