The board approved payment by voice vote.
In the clerk's report trustees discussed placing a third trustee-owned pump-out boat into service on a trial basis; the boat has not been used in two years and trustees said testing the vessel for a week or two would help determine whether pumps or other components need servicing. Trustees observed that several boats appear stationary or are being used as live-aboards and thus are not using pump-out services regularly. The clerk said he would reach out to the Coast Guard station to discuss boarding authority and enforcement options, and members suggested a mail or records-based notice to identified boat owners to encourage compliance.
The board authorized testing the third boat in the water for a short period and directed staff to follow up with the Coast Guard and marinas about enforcement options. Trustees asked staff to prepare any letters to identified vessel owners based on records and to report back on enforcement outcomes.
