Finance Committee elects Ross Knowles chair, approves FY26 reserve transfers

The Finance Committee of Otis elected Ross Knowles chair and unanimously approved FY26 reserve fund transfers totaling $12,250 during a June 11 meeting at Otis Town Hall.
Committee member Sue Brofman nominated Ross Knowles to serve as chair; Committee member Lisa D’Orazio seconded the nomination and the committee voted unanimously to elect Knowles. The committee called the meeting to order at 11:00 a.m. and adjourned at 11:45 a.m.
A request from Brandi Paige to review FY26 reserve fund transfers was considered. The committee approved a motion, made by Committee member Sue Brofman and seconded by Committee member Lisa D’Orazio, to move $5,150.00 to Veteran’s Services (01-543-5770-000000), $3,300.00 to Medicare (01-916-5170-000000) and $3,800.00 to Unemployment (01-912-5170-000000). The motion passed unanimously.
Members agreed the committee will review capital funding issues at its next scheduled meeting on July 9, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. The meeting minutes record no further formal actions.
