At the June 11 public hearing, Mayor Pat Argyle presented the proposed 2027 budget for fiscal year July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027, covering the General Fund, the Enterprise (Water) Fund, the Capital Projects Fund, fixed assets and the Beach Access Fund.
No members of the public offered comments on the budget during the hearing. With no further business, Council Member Ken Hansen moved to close the Second Public Hearing and return to the regular Town Council meeting; Council Member Susann House seconded the motion. Council Member Brad Davis, Council Member Susann House and Council Member Ken Hansen voted in favor; the motion carried and the public hearing closed at 6:31 p.m.
Why it matters: The budget sets the town’s spending priorities for the coming fiscal year. While the hearing provided public notice and an opportunity for comment, the record shows no objections or requests for changes during this session. The transcript does not record adoption of the budget at this hearing.
