Brighton City Council approved its consent agenda and heard routine reports and announcements at the June 2 meeting.
The consent agenda included approval of the May 5, 2026 meeting minutes and Resolution No. 2026-48, approving the 2026 amendment to the Cemetery Rules and Regulations for Elmwood and Fairview Cemeteries. Councilmember Ann Taddeo moved to approve the consent agenda and Councilmember Chris Fiedler seconded; the consent agenda passed 7'0to'00 with Mayor Mills and Councilmember Jim Snyder absent.
City Manager Michael Martinez presented a Board & Commission vacancy update and announced Brighton Summerfest is scheduled for Saturday. Councilmembers reported on recent community events: Mayor Pro Tem Peter Padilla attended the Ravenfield Senior Apartments groundbreaking and Airport Coordinating Committee meeting; Councilmember Ann Taddeo attended the Ravenfield groundbreaking and announced the Erger's Dog Park opening on the 12th; Councilmember Tom Green announced concerts at Brighton Summerfest; Councilmember Lloyd Worth attended the Chamber luncheon and Youth Commission meeting; Councilmember Melinda Carbajal congratulated recent graduates.
Mayor Pro Tem Peter Padilla adjourned the meeting at 6:59 p.m.
