Resident urges council to delay decision on proposed solar project, citing time and legal needs

“I’m here to thank you because I had a chance to thank a few of you individually from the last meeting ... What I’d like to ask is more time,” Markham said, describing the expense of legal and expert assistance and noting that many professionals are booked. He told the council, “If it is a done deal, tell us, because I can tell you, we’re spending a lot of time on it.”
Markham urged the council to consider extending postponement (he referenced previous requests of 30–90 days) while neighbors secure funds and experts; the mayor thanked him for his remarks. The council did not take action on the request during the public comment period.
