The board considered and approved a resolution to contract with W.B. Mason to purchase new chairs for the meeting room. A board member said the vendor contract gives the IDA a discount under municipal purchasing rules and noted the chairs were priced competitively.
One member described the presentation materials as "a little bit too long," but the motion to accept the resolution moved and was seconded and members answered affirmatively on the vote. The board also moved on a separate action to table discussion of chairs and tables as needed.
Staff said purchases through WB Mason use the municipality contract and that the IDA cannot bypass that arrangement. Staff will proceed with procurement according to the approved resolution.
