A Fire Department representative described the software: it shows building layouts and helps firefighters locate Knox Boxes and keys more quickly, which can save critical minutes during incidents. "What this software does is it gives us a layout of the building, what's inside the building, and it also identifies where the Knox Box is," the representative said.
The board approved the software agreement and granted Assistant Chief Summer permission to sign. A board member requested that the specific agreement amount be provided at the next meeting; the Fire Department representative agreed to do so.
