McDonough as committee chair; the motion passed with a recorded tally of 3 – Aye. The committee then approved the minutes of the Dec. 3, 2024 Policy Committee meeting on a motion by M. Aldred, supported by S. Gibson, with the same 3 – Aye tally.
The committee reviewed a group of policies, including 4113 (ESTA), 4229 (Acceptable use of Artificial Intelligence), 5301.01 (Truancy/Attendance) and 5409 (Academic Credits and graduation). After discussion, the committee “agreed to send policy 4113 to the board for first reading,” as recorded in the minutes. There was no scheduled or unscheduled public comment on agenda items.
