Kensington’s Road Agent reported on June 15 that bids for maintenance and reconstruction work on roads including Olivia Lane and Stumpfield Road were opened but were not prepared on a comparable basis. Bids were received from R&D Paving, Pike Industries, Inc., and Bell & Flynn, LLC.
The road agent identified an additional scope item one vendor priced that the others had not and said that item is important to the project. To ensure fair competition and comparable pricing, he will rework the request for proposals so all contractors bid the same scope and format. The Board requested the reissued RFP solicit final bids before July 13, 2026.
No vendor was awarded work at the June 15 meeting; the minutes record only the intent to standardize the RFP and seek revised bids.
